Gary L. Thompson, C.P.A.
Gary L. Thompson graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in accounting in 1968 then went on to receive a law degree from Kansas University in 1973. Since receiving his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1970, he has worked for regional firms as well as a national firm before managing his own practice for 25 years. His expertise is in tax consulting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the TSCPA. Gary joined our firm in 2004 as a principal. Additionally, he is a successful franchisee of two fast food restaurants in San Antonio. Gary and Elizabeth, his wife of 30 years, love to take long walks and to travel. When their two daughters were children, they logged 125,000 miles on their motor home in 11 years. A favorite trip was flying to Europe for a 23-day vacation seeing the highlights of cities like Paris, London, Venice and Rome. Their daughters are now in the work force, but Gary and Elizabeth plan more trips in the near future.
