Arthur, a native of San Antonio, received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Trinity University and completed graduate work at Trinity University, St. Mary’s University and St. Mary’s School of Law.  In 1952, he began working in the accounting department of the City Public Service Board and in 1964 began his own practice that he continued for 42 years.  He has served as president of the Sunrise Optimist Club; treasurer, director, and a member of various committees of the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Arthur is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Arthur and his lovely wife, Sandy, have 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.  They enjoy entertaining their families and friends, spending special times with their grandchildren and traveling.  Arthur’s hobbies include: gardening, fishing, and working around his country home near Pipe Creek.
